SC648
With the SC648, “TeraFlops” is no longer a code word for “Call Building & Grounds.” The SC648 packs well over a half-teraflop of peak performance and plugs into a standard 110v outlet. You can fit two SC648s in an ordinary 19" rack, with room left over for disk drives and other I/O devices. So now you can have a genuinely high performance computing resource that is right in your lab or office area, where you control it.
The SC648 comes fully assembled – all you need to do is unpack it, plug it in, and boot.
Operating the SC648 is as easy as installing it. It is a totally standard Linux cluster that uses the same management tools and runs the same C, C++, and Fortran applications that you are running on your clusters now. You can be compiling and running MPI applications on the SC648 the day it arrives on your loading dock.
